I recently attempted jalapeño poppers for the first time. The filling was a mix of cream cheese, garlic, and shredded mozzarella. The Prince fell instantly, totally in love; the Princess decided she could take ’em or leave ’em. The dogs were extremely pleased with bacon drippings, since I only had three jalapeños and while I could have wrapped them in a whole package of bacon, well, I didn’t.

Me? I’ll gladly make them for other people, but eating more than two is unpleasant at best.

Those two, though, are fantastic. And I’m quite proud of myself for Trying Something New. One has to every now and again, to keep the stomach guessing.

    • They were delicious. I don’t think I could eat more than two at once, but the Little Prince is under no such strictures. I plan on making a platter of them for his birthday next year.

  1. Those look Delicious! Here’s another one for you, .. family recipe — take Canned Jalapenos (the pickled ones) cut in half, remove the seeds or not depending on how hot you want them and set aside. Take small salad shrimp and chop them up to small pieces, mix shredded cheese ( we use the finely shredded fiesta cheese) and then real mayo to taste…. they go fast at family and work gatherings 🙂 — and thank you so much for all of your wonderful books…. I am so addicted! 🙂 so hope this is a fair trade 🙂
