Not that this is wholly pertinent to your post, but I agree with what Bublee01 said about your characters sticking around long after the books have been finished. I think about Dante almost every day and it has been nine months since I finished the series. (In less than five days - I might have skipped a lab or two to do it. ;) Your books knocked me off my feet and shook me up and I know myself better for it now. I still turn into a "rolling maul" of giddiness and other emotions when I think about them. Ty.

Someone told me just today how they admire my honesty for something I said that made them uncomfortable. I didn't really understand when all I said was the truth..I do now.

As a reader I can say that writing has saved my sanity. I honestly can't imagine where I would be without books..good, bad, funny, touching; the one I read last night made me cry and I still wonder and worry about Selene almost a year after I read the last installment. So I have to say thank you for sharing your magic.

wow. just wow. readign that was shockingand incredible and i _know_ that i should be doing the three assignments i have due in history at 3:00 today but on days when it feels like i just can't keep going anymore wihtout some sort of crutch, i know i can pick up one of your books, or start reading your blog, and there it is, a crutch and one that doesn't involve razors or pencil sharpeners or rubbing alcohol or whatever else is currently availible but still holds me up, more or less.
you are braver than i ever could be, writing this, sharing this. thank you, again and again, for what you do, and being so blunt and helping all of us who are at a loss for places to turn to.
thank you

I agree with all of the above. You're an amazing inspiration to this future high school English teacher. If I were rich I'd pay you myself for all your writing. It's the shock of fresh reality (even in a fantasy setting) in your writing that keeps me grounded and in love with your characters. You write what's "real" and I couldn't ask for anything better. THANK YOU.

(On a side note I got a copy of Betrayals from my friends at the bookstore today. I'm spending the weekend on the couch. :D)

Thank you so much for posting these things. It doesn't matter how many times you post or repost them, they're still very powerful and important to hear.

I really, really admire your bravery in discussing these things as freely and openly as you do, knowing that people will definitely read them and that total strangers may judge you for it. I'm willing to talk about things in my life (my own six-years-older-than-me abusive boyfriend in high school, for example) but I don't have the spotlight on me that an author like you does. I'm not sure I'd be as brave if I were in your shoes, but I find that inspiring, and I know what one of my friends also finds you inspiring. So from the two of us (because I think she's sometimes shy about posting comments), I think I can safely say "Thank you" for posts like this.
