You don't mail back the 'cool mama' card (or the 'cool daddy-o card' in my case) but rather, you hang them up on the wall in a cool frame and sit around with your equally old and senile friends and remember with fondness how it was 'back in the day'!

Oh and amen to the Transformers. I'm sick of reading reviews that hammer it for having to much robot fighting....If Bay was trying to get an Oscar he wouldn't have done Transformers. It's not Shakespeare (its better) it's freaking robots kicking the crap out of each other and as a child of the eighties I am rather enjoying watching my childhood unfold on the big screen!!!! The movie ROCKED!

Oh, all-nighters. How dangerously close I have come to pulling them in the last month. Such is the case when you're working on two-soon-to-be-three projects at once, one of which is being co-written by someone 6 hours ahead of you. I'm thoroughly baffling my husband, who cannot understand how I'm surviving on as little sleep as I get.

I tell him coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

We have a club that is a private gay bar but goes goth one day a week, on Mondays. It's an absolutely gorgeous club with a walled, private courtyard complete with fountains. The area opens off of the dance floor so if the mood strikes, you can go out there and dance. Since it's a gay bar 6 nights a week, you either have to know about "goth night" or don't suffer from homophobia and are willing to join the club. This combo keeps the crowds down, leaving plenty of room on the floor to dance which was my key reason for going there. Nothing starts hopping until 11 so there's no point in even going out until then and continues until about 2:45 a.m.

I used to go most Mondays and despite getting home about 3:15 am (30 minute drive), I was awake and functional the following morning. Now, to even think about doing that, my body shudders. It would wipe out not only Tuesday but my entire week. *laugh*

Thank ghods I no longer have to worry about the cool mom club as I will be joining the cool gramma club at the end of the year. I think the fact that I used to go to a gay bar/goth club, own a motorcycle, etc. will give me membership for life. *g*
