		<description>Thank you for posting this.  He was/is one of my favorite authors.  I still give his books out to people for birthdays and such.  I am so sad to hear of his passing, but it made me laugh that he switched to fantasy after seeing lotr in it&#039;s 73rd printing.
May his books have the same length of life.</description>

		<description>Thanks for posting, I hadn&#039;t heard that.  I have to agree with Tanny above, it was right around high school that my Dad had gotten a copy of the first book of the Belgariad Series.  He finished it and I got hooked on them rght afterwards.  It showed me what a truly good fantasy story was supposed to be.  There are still a couple of songs from Oingo Boingo, the Cure and Siouxisie and the Banshees (the soundtrack of my teen years) that take me right back to those stories. Very sad.</description>
