PS: Why on earth was I worried about WP 2.7? It works like a dream. Except when I can’t bludgeon a plugin into working. ARGH.

    I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you re: WP 2.7 – it was working like a dream for me up until yesterday. Yesterday? The handy little glyphs to click to upload pictures and other media went AWOL. If you see them, send them home. I miss them.

    I’m terrified of converting to wp 2.7 on my blog. I still can’t get wp to recognize my username (because my version of wp was installed through my website server) to install akismet, so I don’t even want to think about what headaches this new version might create. Kudos to you for the courage to upgrade! I’ll stand by in quivering readiness to see how it goes for you.

    AJ, if you go to WordPress.com and sign up for a WP-hosted blog (you don’t ever have to build one there, just sign up), you’ll be given an API key that you can use for any WordPress installation anywhere.
