    Really liked your article. It reminded me of something an author (I think it was Jennifer Weiner) said about her books being labeled “chicklit”: “You know what they call books that men read? Literature.”

    You know, there is actually an equivalent, but unofficial label for a male brand of sappy, light-hearted literature, called Ladlit. I think the reason that you don’t hear this every day is only because the settings and plots tend to resonate with women more than men, in general.
