Am I the only one who actually feels more comfortable in a bra than without? Yeah, takes awhile to find ones that fit well, but once that happens, buy a bunch and I'm set. My DDs need support or they don't look pretty. And they hurt.

Though as soon as you mentioned sports bras, I thought of Title Nine. I have a friend who swears by that complete lock and load one.

Gah!! You had me meet my Earl Grey again out of my nose with that Victoria's Secret scenario!! :D And what's frightening is that I avoid that kind of shop for the same reason...though I have the exactly opposite problem, but that's another story. Not to mention that as soon as I put on my sport bra, what little there is completely disappear: talking about containment... ;)

Oh god can I totally relate, I was one of those "lucky" girls who needed the support of a bra by 8th grade, I was a DD before I graduated from highschool. My 4th year of college I broke down and had a breast reduction done, and OMG it was the best thing I could have done for myself. I can actually find a bra at VS (try their Body by Victoria line, tis the only ones I'll buy there) now that fits, but oddly enough the best day to day bra's I've found are sold at Target, made by Target's generic brand (Gilbert and something or other), nothing fancy, no lace or polkadots, but OMG they FIT, and they're reasonably comfy (or as much as any such thing is), I love them. I'll have to remember Title Nine though next time I need sports bras, I've been looking for a good source for them with no luck.

Haha. How do I know that feeling. Its not comfortable at all. I remember getting measured during my Jr. Prom... and the Victoria's Sales Persons left eye doing a little twitch at my size... hey, the prom dress fit, I needed a strapless bra, damn it.

I think my Mom standing next to me (little bitty thing my mom is) kinda helped. The sales woman wasn't about to suggest we try another store. She FOUND a black strapless bra in my size after some frantic digging in the back room - her hair was out of place when she came back - and we went on our way.

This post made me laugh so hard with that delicious mixture of sympathy, understanding, and pure amusement. Me, I hate Victoria's Secret for several reasons: they don't carry bras for the people who really need them, large chested women; they don't know how to measure a woman properly for a bras, and they just rub me the damn wrong way with all that stupid poseur pink. Hello, don't decorate it like a bordello if you can't spell the word and don't know what it means, Victoria. But I digress. Your post made me think of this awesome set of Devil's Panties Comics. Congratz on the new undergarments, btw. =)

Awesome article, I had to pass the link around to some of my estrogen-laden coworkers. Thanks for bringing a smile to my otherwise stressful day! :)

"The best feeling in the world isn’t sex and it isn’t chocolate. It may not even be triumphing over one’s enemies. It is taking the bosom-bucket off at the end of the day."

When I read this I had to laugh out loud! I was a D cup is the 7th grade and the girls have not gotten any smaller (heavier and hangier, but not smaller) The first thing I do as I am enter my apartment after work is take off my shirt so I can get that damn toture devise off and breath freely again!

Thanks for giving me today's giggles.
