Throwing Out The Map, And Other Things

So. My Friday post at The Midnight Hour is short and sweet, about plotters and pantsers.

While writing it I came across this picture of Jack Sparrow/Johnny Depp, and my life became suddenly complete. Apparently I was only waiting for this to make it worth living.

Oh, and the cover for Steelflower is now up! I am having fun doing last-minute revisions on the book, which is due out in March, I believe. *evil chuckle* I love writing fantasy. I love gleefully bending fantasy conventions and making them weep. I love poking conventions in the eye and taking their lunch and then using them anyway.

I swear, it’s a good thing I’m a writer. I’d be dangerous in any other field, if only for the sheer joy I take in mistreating my characters.

And Bam is running a contest over on her site. I love that girl, with a love pure as penguin love.

Because penguin love is the sweetest love, you know.

Happy Imbolc, everyone. Light is returning to the world. It’s been a long winter, one of the longest on record for me. (This does, of course, only take into account the subjective nature of time.)

Have a good weekend!

dude, the Steelflower cover is way hot. She looks a little like Wonder Woman.

And yes, penguin love is quite pure. :)
