Now Hear This
The fifth Valentine book is going well.
I’m listening to Nickelback‘s Savin’ Me over and over again. It’s a good sign. Danny keeps headbanging.
My characters are weird.
Further bulletins as events warrant…

Just thought might want to know. I went to Barnes and Noble to get your latest book and they had sold 10 this week, they had ordered 12 so I was able to get one. I thought that was pretty cool.

Hi! *waves hand*
The last time I posted was way way back when I first finished reading Working for the Devil. This time, I’ve just finished Dead Man Rising.
You did it again! It was GREAT. Absolute-ling-ly GREAT. Thanks for a wonderful few days while I felt for Dante, cried for her, and laughed with her.
Just a tiny weeny comment: I read the glossary, and I have to say this… As a citizen of Singapore, I can say with conviction that Singapore is not part of China. Has never, in fact, been part of China.
I suppose Future Singapore is part of Hegemony instead of Putchkin?
Glad to hear that there’s a fifth book, and that it’s going well! Looking forward for more…

We love Danny even though she makes here own life difficult at times. It’s nice to know she’ll be around for the near future though her life takes such unusual turns!

I loved your book “Dead Man Rising” I cried , *sigh* poor Jace! I was soooo glad Japhrimel came back and Nickelback ‘s song, “Savin me” is the perfect song for the Dante Valentine series in my opinion. Can’t wait for the next book, great job!

A quick note for Crys:
Singapore is not China. You are absolutely correct.
In Danny Valentine’s world, China expanded south through the peninsulas and spread its control (solidifying in what we’d call about 2353 CE) through Malaysia; though there were scattered pockets of resistance that ended up as Hegemony diplomatic enclaves, of which Singapore is one and Freetown Tibet (loosely allied with the Hegemony though technically a Freetown and major religious enclave) another. It may interest the reader to know that the Phillippines fought off both the Putchkin Alliance and almost single-handedly (always excepting Japan’s help, of course) fought the Republic of Gilead to a standstill in the Pacific during the Republic’s expansionist period.
My apologies for the un-clarity of the glossary entry, but I had limited space and thought my wanking about the political history of an imaginary world wouldn’t be interesting. *grin*

Thank you. The reader reaction to DMR has been just overwhelming. I am so glad you like it!

Wow, fifth! That makes me so happy. A long future in store…!

Lilith, thanks for explaining that to me! While I can’t say I’m glad Singapore got conquered by China (which makes a weird sort of circular sense), I’m glad to learn more about the political history of your world! It’s a great world, after all.
Your wanking is always welcome.

LOL you have to realize it’s just the people in my head. And China would never have taken over if it wasn’t for North Korea and the satellite escapades…
Thanks for liking my wanking. *grin* Hope that helps.
And Richelle! *waves vigorously* We’re MySpace buds now. W00t!
