Succulents and Strigiformes

Succulents and Owls

I’m going to have to stop taking pictures of owls. But while I’m still going, here, have this one.

  • My Grandad grew acres of cacti and succulents. He would carefully pot each one and add it to a line on the terraced suburban desert lot. He spent hours and hours each day carefully tending the thousands of plants. He even kept kids paint brushes and gently cross pollinated them to make sure they bloomed and budded as they should. All the while he would chat with his desert tortoises, the monkey (Jocko) and the aviary of parakeets he also kept. He was a most fascinating man.
